Tim J Leary – Painting / acrylics
Our perception of color is a gift we humans are very fortunate to possess. When beginning abstract paintings like these I hope only to watch colors and textures emerge on my canvases. I may start with designs, but quickly move to blending colors, adding textures and creating contrasts. The most effective way to engage the creative spirit for this kind of work is to just allow it to emerge in the art studio. These paintings evoke the beauty of our visual universe in surprising and unstructured ways.
